Bank in Van Buren Robbed by Man, Reports The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Generations Bank in Van Buren was the target of a robbery on Thursday morning, according to the Van Buren Police Department. The incident took place at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the bank’s location on Alma Highway.

The suspect, described as a light-skinned man in his late 20s to early 30s, entered the bank and handed a note to the teller demanding money. Although he did not brandish a firearm, he gave the impression that he had one by keeping his hand in his pocket. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene in a black Ford four-door sedan with an Oklahoma license plate.

The suspect is said to be approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 180-200 pounds. He was dressed in a beanie, brown jacket, and dark-colored pants, which were either blue or black.

As of Thursday evening, the Van Buren Police Department had not made any arrests in connection with the robbery. The department has assigned several investigators to the case as they continue to work to gather information and leads.
