The incident came to light when deputies responded to a 911 call at the old Wilmar School on North 5th Street around 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless bodies of two men, identified as Suquorey Pitts Jr., 25, of Dumas, and Independence Young, 21, of McGehee. Pitts was found in a vehicle parked in the school’s driveway, while Young was found lying on North 5th Street. Both men had suffered gunshots wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The bodies of the deceased have been slated for transportation to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact manner and cause of their deaths.
