Kenny Guiton, current wide receivers coach for the University of Arkansas, has reportedly been sought after by Wisconsin Coach Luke Fickell to take on the same position with the Badgers. FootballScoop.com revealed the news, citing unnamed sources, that Guiton is set to join Wisconsin.

Guiton, who played quarterback at Ohio State from 2010-2013, overlapped with Fickell’s time as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at the Buckeyes. Guiton has been with Arkansas as the receivers coach since the 2021 season, briefly serving as offensive coordinator after the firing of Dan Enos. Under his leadership, the Razorbacks had a standout offensive performance in a win against Florida with 481 yards of total offense and the first 100-yard game by a running back in the program’s history.

Although the Razorbacks had some up-and-down offensive performances under Guiton’s play-calling, he eventually resumed his role as receivers coach after the hiring of Bobby Petrino as the offensive coordinator. If Guiton leaves for Wisconsin, it will mark the third receivers coach change for Arkansas in five seasons under Coach Sam Pittman.

Wisconsin has been seeking a replacement for assistant coach Mike Brown, who left his role as receivers coach to join Notre Dame. Currently, Pittman has stated that he does not foresee any further staff movements, despite the recent hiring of Petrino and offensive line coach Eric Mateos to replace Cody Kennedy, who took a job at Mississippi State.

Overall, Guiton’s potential departure could lead to yet another staff shakeup at Arkansas, as Pittman looks to maintain stability within his coaching staff.
