Isaac TeSlaa Announces Return to University of Arkansas for 2024 Season
Isaac TeSlaa, wide receiver for the University of Arkansas, took to social media on Saturday night to announce his decision to return for the 2024 season. In a clever and lighthearted post on X (formerly Twitter), he simply wrote “Hog, Nation” before sharing a screenshot of Arnold Schwarzenegger in sunglasses delivering his famous line, “I’ll be back” from the movie Terminator.
TeSlaa’s announcement comes as the second big “keep” for the Razorback offense, following fellow transfer Andrew Armstrong’s decision to return. The team will be under the direction of new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, who will be looking for pass catchers to bolster the lineup.
During the previous season, TeSlaa made 34 receptions for 351 yards and 2 touchdowns, ranking second on the team behind Armstrong. The 6-4, 216-pound receiver will be playing in his bonus senior season after being named the 2022 offensive player of the year in the Great Midwest American Conference at Hillsdale (Mich.) College.
TeSlaa’s decision to return adds him to a growing list of Razorbacks who have announced their plan to stay with the team, amidst at least 11 players who have indicated they will be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. Other returning players include defensive end Landon Jackson, tight ends Luke Hasz and Ty Washington, tailbacks Rashod Dubinion and Isaiah Augustave, defensive tackle Cam Ball, cornerback Jaylon Braxton, and punter Max Fletcher.
The return of TeSlaa and Armstrong, along with the other returning players, is a positive development for the Razorback offense as they prepare for the upcoming season.
