Ravens vs Bengals in Overtime Thriller with Late Game Heroics

In a thrilling overtime clash at Paycor Stadium, the Baltimore Ravens vs Bengals 41-38, thanks to a dramatic finish. After Bengals kicker Evan McPherson missed a potential game-winning 53-yard field goal with 4:31 left in overtime, Ravens running back Derrick Henry burst through the defense for a 51-yard run, setting up Justin Tucker’s decisive chip-shot field goal. The win came before a crowd of 66,341 fans.

The Ravens mounted an impressive comeback, overcoming a 38-28 deficit with less than 10 minutes left. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow delivered a career performance, throwing five touchdown passes for the first time, including a pair of long strikes to Ja’Marr Chase for 41 and 70 yards.

Burrow’s big day also saw him reach a career milestone, surpassing Jeff Blake for fifth place on the Bengals’ all-time passing yards list. Entering the game just 73 yards shy, Burrow’s performance took him to 15,453 total yards, chasing down Carson Palmer’s 22,694 yards, next on the list.

Burrow finished the day completing 30 of 39 passes for 392 yards, with a passer rating of 137.0, the fourth-highest of his career. His five touchdown passes matched the second-most in Bengals’ history, tying him with legendary Cincinnati quarterbacks Boomer Esiason, Carson Palmer, and Andy Dalton.

Ja’Marr Chase was Burrow’s top target, racking up 10 catches for 193 yards and two touchdowns. His 70-yard touchdown reception was his 10th career touchdown of 60+ yards, tying an NFL record for players under 25. Chase also became just the fifth player in NFL history to surpass 4,000 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns in his first 50 games, joining an elite group that includes Jerry Rice and Randy Moss.

The Bengals executed a “double-dip” for the second consecutive week, scoring at the end of the first half and again on their first possession of the second half. This time, Burrow connected with Chase for a 41-yard touchdown with nine seconds left in the second quarter, giving Cincinnati its first lead of the game.

Despite their offensive firepower, Cincinnati couldn’t hold on, as Baltimore’s late-game heroics capped a wild contest, leaving the Bengals with another tough loss to digest.
